Hope you all are having a great weekend.
We have quite a few updates for you today, so let's dive straight in!
STL Updates
We have sent a third version of the STL's alongside the Chitubox files for those who are still facing some printing issues. Please kindly check your download section for them if you have backed the Dark Elements, Entangled Spirits, or Soul Collector.
A solid version of Tenjin can now be found in the Dark Elements pack as well.
Lore Game
Today we had a chance to see the mechanic created by Ricardo for the Lore games that we will use for all Ancestors, and we must say, it looks awesome! It shares a few mechanic traits with Blood Oak.
This will be a skirmish game with a duration of 30min-45min for 2 to 3 players with a quick assembly for easy play with your friends.
In each Ancestor's game, you can experience their last moments which will look like a "Boss fight", where the boss might be the Ancestor themselves or the enemy they are facing (this will vary from Ancestor to Ancestor).
Why are we creating a skirmish game for them?
All Ancestors have an important role in the Blood Oak universe and we felt that we couldn't just present them and their story without giving you the chance to "live it". Now, at the moment we don't have plans to mass produce these - we are doing mainly out of our passion for board games and as an extra add-on option for you all. Initially, Tenjin's lore game will be available only in pdf format with two extra models (related to his final moments) in both STL and resin format. We are aiming at having a gameplay video for you all within 3-4 weeks.
Late Pledge open again
Over this weekend we realized two things, that people can be quite fast in illegally selling your work and that late pledge can be reopened.
Now, this is not the ideal situation since we had been informed by the pledge manager support that we couldn't reopen it and therefore we made that call to close earlier. But because we found two backers selling illegally Tenjin, we started to look into options to fight that and to our surprise, we noticed the misinformation given to us related to late pledges. So, we decided to make the 2nd batch for STLs only (which will be delivered on 28/02).
Thank you all for your patience so far, we have learned a lot and we already know what to change/improve for the next Ancestor.
